A soft place in the world, ready before they arrive.

There is a moment, somewhere between the scan photo and the due date, when a parent stands in an empty room and starts imagining it full. That room is the first promise you make. You are saying: we built you a soft place in the world, before you even got here.

That is the moment Fawnling was made for.

Why a fawn

A fawn is new to the world. Soft, unsteady, just learning to walk, and surrounded by a forest that keeps it safe. That is the whole idea in one animal. The little one is the fawn. The room you build is the forest.

Every collection is a different corner of that same gentle world. A quiet woodland. A calm sea above the crib. A night sky worth whispering to. Mountains that are big, but never frightening. The world, made small enough and soft enough for someone who just got here.

What we believe

  • The wall above the crib is not decoration. It is the first letter a parent writes to their child, and one they will grow up reading every night.
  • Calm is for the parent too. A room that feels quiet at 3am is doing something for both of you.
  • A beautiful gift says I care about you louder than the card ever does.
  • Gender neutral by default. Our story is about a child, not about pink or blue.

Why printable

Because the nursery is usually finished at the last minute, and because a baby shower is always sooner than planned. You download the files, print them at the size your wall needs, and hang them tonight. No shipping, no tracking page, no waiting on a courier while the due date moves closer.

It also means you can print them again in five years, bigger, when the crib becomes a bed.

Who is behind this

Fawnling is a small studio. We design every print ourselves, we answer our own email, and when you write to us a real person writes back, usually within 24 hours. That is not a policy, it is just how a small studio should work.

If a room you made feels a little softer because of something we drew, we did our job.
