Colors, shapes, counting, matching and more, woven into one little adventure with LUMO.

Ages 3-5 · 57 Printable Pages · Instant Download

Some days it may be one page. Some days your child may ask for another. Both count.

This is not a folder of unrelated worksheets. LUMO the fawn walks your child through seven small learning worlds, each with its own mix of discovery, practice, play and a little celebration at the end.

Color Meadow · Shape Garden · Counting Forest · Matching Trail · Pattern Path · Little Hands Workshop · Big and Small Hill

Because the worlds connect, colors, shapes, counting, matching, patterns and pencil skills feel like parts of one journey rather than a pile of pages.

About the activity labels

Activities are gently marked Explore, Practice or LUMO Challenge, so you can quickly choose what feels right for today. These are not grades. A level describes the page, not your child. An Explore page can be just right for an older child, and a Challenge can simply wait for another day.

The Adventure Map

At the end of each world, your child earns an Explorer Badge to mark on their Adventure Map. Seven worlds, seven badges, and a map that fills up at whatever pace suits them.

What you get

  • The 57 page First Learning Adventure, as one PDF
  • A4 and US Letter versions, so it prints properly wherever you are
  • Seven themed learning worlds
  • Explore, Practice and LUMO Challenge activity labels
  • An Adventure Map with seven collectible badges
  • Color, shape, counting, matching, pattern and early pencil activities
  • Cut and play activities
  • A Real-World Adventure that leaves the page
  • The LUMO Little Learner Award
  • A Start Here page that tells you which file is yours

What your child practises

  • Naming and sorting colors
  • Recognising circles, squares, triangles and rectangles
  • Counting from one to five
  • Connecting numbers with quantities
  • Matching pictures, shadows and pairs
  • Spotting simple repeating patterns
  • Comparing big and small, tall and short, more and less
  • Following lines, curves, waves and zigzags
  • Early pencil control, the step before letter writing
  • Using the same ideas out in the real world

Little Hands Workshop

Little Hands Workshop builds pre-writing control through straight lines, curves, waves, zigzags, tracing and a simple maze. It is the quiet groundwork that comes before letters, and it is a whole world rather than a single page.

The Real-World Adventure

Learning does not stop on the page. A final Real-World Adventure sends children off to find colors, shapes, matching objects and size ideas around them.

The Award

The LUMO Little Learner Award celebrates trying new things, asking good questions and keeping going when something feels tricky.

A note on age

This book is made for ages 3 to 5, but children do not all meet skills in the same order. The Explore, Practice and LUMO Challenge labels describe the activity, not your child. Pick what suits the moment, skip anything that feels frustrating, and come back whenever you like. There is no falling behind here.

What you need

A printer, paper and crayons. That is the whole list. Nothing to laminate, nothing to assemble, no velcro.

Questions parents ask

Does my child need to know these skills already?
No. This is designed as an early introduction. Some pages introduce an idea, others give your child another chance to meet it through play.

Do we need to work through the book in order?
No. The seven worlds make a lovely journey, but there is no fixed order. Pick the page that suits today and come back to the others later.

Do I need to print all 57 pages?
No. Print one world, one activity, or just the pages you want today. You can come back and print more whenever you like.

What do Explore, Practice and LUMO Challenge mean?
They describe the activity, not your child. Explore pages are simple introductions, Practice pages meet the idea again, and LUMO Challenges go one small step further. There is no level your child needs to reach.

Can I use this in my classroom?
Print it as many times as you like for your own family. For classroom, nursery or childcare use, please choose the appropriate licence, and write to us if you are not sure which one you need.

This is a digital product. Nothing is posted to you. You get the files straight after buying.
